The Neon Museum

The Neon museum is located near downtown at 770 Las vegas Boulevard North, parking for museum guests Is free and is located across the museum plus   an overflow parking which is just adjacent to the museum lot. The facility which was opened in 2012, is a nonprofit organization which currently has 200 signs on display where 11 of them are fully restored to some good working conditions. The venue which is also referred to as the ‘Neon Boneyard’ is truly a place to frequent in case you need to break from the casinos and the city’s intense night clubs. It also popular for tours, weddings, special events and photoshoot.

At Neon Museum guests and tourists of all ages can visit and experience the magic of the place. However, for safety purposes day tours may be best enjoyed by children of ages 10 and above. With the night comes the flare of the recently restored signs, you can also get a glimpse of the beautiful and dramatically lit unrestored signs. However, due to the rusty metal, broken glass and the darkness too the facility recommends that night tours to be for adults and children who are above 12 years of age.

Tour guide

To ensure optimum services to their guests, the facility has put in place an effective booking policy. This is in a great bid to ensure non crowded tours while also providing some ample parking. A guided tour is also mandatory as it not only enhances the learning experience since you have a guide to explain the significance of the signage, but more to that it helps protects the wonderful signs on display from damage.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit is obviously at night. During night time you will get to see the neon signs all lit up. At this time the ambient lighting of the signs will also make your photos look cooler and better.

Also if you are old, truly you will be lucky to relate a lot to some of the vintage signs. Despite everything, this park gives you a taste of how glorious Las Vegas was and still is.
