This game was inspired by the 1985 Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol joint exhibition at The Palladium. I started my first assignment with the Mona Lisa, and have decided to continue building on the same theme of creating interactive versions of famous artworks.
Throughout high school I used to volunteer at children's art programs that were run by a local art gallery, and I can see games like these having potential as an educational tool.
Two weeks ago we built several manual controllers, the documentation of which can be seen below. I found the connection between the foil bracelet and the Makey-Makey to be a bit distracting, but really enjoyed the physical engagement with play-doh and graphite controllers. These tactile experience could also be very effective when trying to engage young children with art.
