After sales orders and sales order lines are released, you can go on to allocate, plan pick, pick for the orders, and confirm shipment.

You complete the allocate, plan pick, and pick tasks on the Shipment Workbench.

Before you use the Shipment Workbench, you must have the following:

• Released sales orders with sales order lines
• Manufactured or purchased items ready to ship

You allocate items for shipment to reserve those items for a specific sales order.

In Kenandy, you can allocate items for one shipment at a time, or you can mass allocate items for many shipments at the same time.

Single Shipment

To allocate items for a single shipment, follow these steps: 

1. Click All Tabs (plus sign), then click Shipments.
2. Choose View: All and click Go.
3. Find the shipment you want to allocate for and click its number.
4. On the Shipment Detail page, click Allocate.
5. Follow steps 5-9 for multiple shipments.

Multiple Shipments

To mass allocate for multiple shipments, follow these steps: 

1. Click All Tabs (plus sign), then click Shipment Workbench.
   
2. Choose Allocate in the Action field.
3. (Optional) To narrow your search for shipments to allocate, enter information into the other search fields.
4. (Optional) To see only shipment lines that have not been allocated yet, clear the Include Allocated Lines checkbox.
5. Click Search.
   Kenandy displays all the shipment lines available for allocation with quantities allocated and attributes selected (if available).
6. To review the details of the allocations Kenandy suggests, click Expand All.
   Note: All the shipment lines are selected for allocation by default. To deselect them, click the blue checkbox at the top of the table.
7. If all the allocations Kenandy suggested look right to you, click Save.
   Skip steps 7-10.
8. To change the quantity allocated, enter a negative number to subtract from the existing Quantity Allocated.
   For example, if the Quantity Allocated = 10 and you want to allocate only 7 items to this line, enter -3 in Quantity to Allocate.
9. Change any other attributes you need to for this allocation.
10. Make sure the checkboxes to the left of the lines you want to allocate now are selected (blue and checked).
11. Click Save.

Kenandy allocates the amount of this item to this shipment line. That number of items is reserved and can't be allocated or picked for other shipments.

Kenandy does the following:

• Creates an Allocated SKID for each shipment line
• Updates the Quantity Allocated on the sales order line and shipment line
• Shipment status changes to Released

What Comes Next

Go on to Plan Pick.

Note: If you specified all the attributes (such as lot numbers and serial numbers) you track when allocating items, you don't have to plan pick. Go on to Pick. If you use Kenandy Mobile, your warehouse workers can now pick the items you've allocated using scanners.

Unallocate Whole Shipment Lines

1. On the Shipment Workbench page, choose Allocate in the Action field.
2. (Optional) To narrow your search for shipments to unallocate, enter information into the other search fields.
3. Select the Include Allocated Lines checkbox.
4. Click Search.
   Kenandy displays all the shipment lines with quantities allocated and lines that still need allocation.
5. Clear the blue checkboxes next to any lines you don't want to unallocate.
6. Click Unallocate.
7. Click Save.

Unallocate Partial Quantities from Shipment Lines

To unallocate only part of the quantity allocated on a shipment line, follow these steps:

1. Follow steps 1-5 for unallocating whole shipment lines.
2. Find the line you want to unallocate from and click the carat to the left to expand the line.
   Or click Expand All to expand all the lines in the list.
3. In the Quantity to Allocate field, enter a minus sign and the number of items you want to subtract from this allocation.
   For example, if the current Quantity Allocated value = 10 and you want to change it to = 7, enter -3.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 for all lines you want to unallocate.
5. Click Save.

Note: Do not click Unallocate to unallocate partial quantities.

Kenandy does the following: 

• Decreases the Quantity (Packaging UOM) and Quantity (Stocking UOM) on the Allocated SKID for each shipment line
• Deletes Allocated SKIDs for lines that have been decreased to zero
• Updates the Quantity Allocated on the sales order line and shipment line

After you've allocated a quantity of items to a shipment line, you can plan the pick for that item. Your picker can see which location or bin to pick from and what attributes to pick, such as lot number and serial number.

You can plan pick items for one shipment at a time, or you can mass plan pick for many shipments at the same time.

Single Shipment

To plan pick items for a single shipment, follow these steps: 

1. Click All Tabs (plus sign), then click Shipments.
2. Choose View: All and click Go.
3. Find the shipment you want to allocate for and click its number.
4. On the Shipment Detail page, click Plan Picklist.
5. Follow steps 5-9 below for multiple shipments.

Multiple Shipments

To mass plan pick for many shipments at once, follow these steps: 

1. Click All Tabs (plus sign), then click Shipment Workbench.
   
2. Choose Plan Pick in the Action field.
3. (Optional) To narrow your search for shipments to plan to pick, enter information into the other search fields.
4. (Optional) To see only shipment lines that have not been plan picked yet, clear the Include Planned Picked Lines checkbox.
5. Click Search.
   Kenandy displays all the shipment lines available for planning with quantities planned and attributes such as location and bin selected.
6. To review the details of the planned picks that Kenandy suggests, click Expand All.
   Planned picks are displayed in lines according to packaging UOMs.
7. If all the plan picks Kenandy suggested look right to you, click Save.
   Skip steps 7-9.

   Note: You can't plan pick items from a blocked bin.

8. To change the quantity planned, enter a negative number to subtract from the number in the packaging UOM field.
   For example, the Quantity Planned = 10 in the EA packaging UOM line.
   You want to plan pick only 7 items for this line.
   Enter -3 in the EA field.
9. Make sure the checkboxes to the left of the lines you want to allocate now are selected (blue and checked).

   Note: All shipment lines are selected for plan pick by default. To deselect them, click the blue checkbox at the top of the table.

10. Click Save.

Kenandy reserves the exact items you've chosen in specific locations and bins for shipment.

Kenandy does the following: 

• Deducts the quantity you planned from the Allocated SKID
• Deletes the Allocated SKID if you planned the whole Quantity Allocated
• Generates a Planned Pick SKID with the quantity you planned
• Increases the Quantity to Pick field and decreases the Quantity Allocated field on the shipment line
  The Quantity Allocated field on the sales order line stays the same

If you're using Kenandy Mobile, your warehouse workers can now see the items you plan picked as available to pick.

Unplan Pick Whole Shipment Lines

1. On the Shipment Workbench page, choose Plan Pick in the Action field.
2. (Optional) To narrow your search for shipments to unplan, enter information into the other search fields.
3. Select the Include Planned Pick Lines checkbox.
4. Click Search.
   Kenandy displays all the shipment lines available for unplanning with quantities to pick and attributes selected (if available).
5. Clear the blue checkbox to the left of all the lines you don't want to unplan.
6. Click Unplan.
7. Click Save.

Unplan Pick Partial Quantities

To unplan pick only part of the quantity allocated on a shipment line, follow these steps:

1. Follow steps 1-5 for unplan picking whole shipment lines.
2. Find the shipment line you want to unplan and click the carat to the left to expand the line.
   Or click Expand All to expand all the lines in the list.
3. To unplan a line, enter a negative number to subtract from the number in the packaging UOM field.
   For example, the Quantity Planned = 10 in the EA packaging UOM line.
   You want to plan pick only 7 items for this line.
   Enter -3 in the EA field.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 for all lines you want to unplan.
5. Click Save.

Note: Do not click Unplan to unplan pick only partial quantities.

Kenandy does the following: 

• Reduces Planned Pick SKID
• Deletes if you unplan the whole quantity
• Increases quantity in Allocated SKID
• Creates an Allocated SKID if you've unplanned a whole quantity
• Shipment line: Quantity to Pick decreases and Quantity Allocated increases

You can pick items to ship for a single sales order, or you can mass pick for many sales orders at once.

You can also use Kenandy Mobile to pick items to ship.

Single Shipment

To pick items for a single shipment, follow these steps: 

1. Click All Tabs (plus sign), then click Shipments.
2. Choose View: All and click Go.
3. Find the shipment you want to pick and click its number.
4. On the Shipment Detail page, click Pick.
5. Follow steps 5-9 below for multiple shipments.

Multiple Shipments

To mass pick for many shipments at once, follow these steps: 

1. Click All Tabs (plus sign), then click Shipping Workbench.
   
2. Choose Pick in the Action field.
3. (Optional) To narrow your search for shipments to pick, enter information into the other search fields.
4. (Optional) To see only shipment lines that have not been picked yet, clear the Include Picked Lines checkbox.
5. Click Search.
   Kenandy displays all the shipment lines available for picking with quantities picked.
6. To review the details of the picks Kenandy suggests, click Expand All.
   Picks are displayed in lines according to packaging UOMs and stock locations.
   
7. To change the Quantity to Pick, enter a negative number to subtract from the number in the packaging UOM field.
   For example, the Quantity Picked = 10 in the EA packaging UOM line.
   You want to pick only 7 items for this line.
   Enter -3 in the EA field.
8. Enter a Shipping Bin for each shipment line.

   Note: The Shipping Bin must be in your shipping dock location.

9. Make sure the checkboxes to the left of the lines you want to pick are selected (blue and checked).

   Note: All the shipment lines are selected to pick by default. To deselect them, click the blue checkbox at the top of the table.

10. Click Save.

Kenandy does the following: 

• Decreases the Plan Pick SKID and deletes it if you picked the whole quantity
• Creates one or more Sales Order Pick inventory transactions
• Updates the Quantity Picked field on the shipment line
• Decreases the Quantity to Pick on the shipment line
• Changes Shipment Status to Staged
• The sales order line Quantity Allocated field does not change

What Comes Next

Go on to the Shipment page, click Manage Delivery, and click Confirm Ship to confirm the shipment.

If you use Kenandy Mobile, your warehouse workers can now confirm shipment by going to the Ship page and scanning items for shipment as they load the items onto trucks.

Unpick Whole Shipment Lines

1. On the Shipment Workbench page, choose Pick in the Action field.
2. (Optional) To narrow your search for shipments to unpick, enter information into the other search fields.
3. Select the Include Picked Lines checkbox.
4. Click Search.
   Kenandy displays all the shipment lines available for unpicking with quantities picked.
5. Clear the blue checkbox to the left of all the lines you don't want to unpick.
6. Click Unpick.
7. Click Save.

Unpick Partial Quantities

To unpick only part of the quantity pick on a shipment line, follow these steps:

1. Follow steps 1-5 for unpicking whole shipment lines.
2. Find the shipment line you want to unpick and click the carat to the left to expand the line.
   Or click Expand All to expand all the lines in the list.
3. Enter a negative number to subtract from the number in the packaging UOM field.
   For example, the Quantity Picked = 10 in the EA packaging UOM line.
   You want to pick only 7 items for this line.
   Enter -3 in the EA field.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 for all lines you want to unpick.
5. Click Save.

Note: Do not click Unpick to unpick only partial quantities.

Kenandy does the following:

• Creates an IT of type Undo Pick within an IC
• Decreases Shipping Dock SKID
• Deletes Shipping Dock SKID if whole quantity is unpicked
• Shipment line: Quantity Picked goes down Quantity to Pick goes up

The following table lists the fields that Kenandy provides. Your system administrator selects the fields that are displayed on your user interface.

Shipment Workbench Search Field Descriptions

Field	Description
Action	Choose one of the following: Allocate: Reserve a quantity of inventory for a specific shipment line Plan Pick: Select the location, bin, and attributes of items you've allocated for shipment Pick: Pick items to ship
Customer (Ship To)	A Ship To customer has a single shipping address. The Ship To customer you choose must be a child of the Sold To customer you choose.
Customer (Sold To)	A Sold To customer can include multiple Ship To customers that all have different shipping addresses. If you plan truck shipments for a single customer with multiple locations, use this field to search for that customer.
Document Type	Choose one of the following: Sales Orders Transfer Orders
Facility	The facility you're planning to ship from.
From Date	The earliest date of shipments and shipment lines you want to work with.
Need Date	Use this filter when you need to allocate, plan pick, and pick items for a specific need date.
Estimated Ship Date	Use this filter when you need to allocate, plan pick, and pick items to be ready to ship on a specific estimated ship date.
Include Action Lines	If this checkbox is selected, Kenandy shows all sales order lines, including those that have already been allocated (when Allocate is selected), plan picked (when Plan Pick is selected), or picked (when Pick is selected). If this checkbox is cleared, Kenandy shows only sales order lines that have not yet been allocated, plan picked, or picked.
Shipping Bin	Available if Action = Pick only.
Order	The number of a specific transfer order you want to work with.
Product	The name of a specific product you want to work with.
Sales Order	The number of a specific sales order you want to work with.
Shipment	A specific shipment number you want to work with.
To Date	The latest date of shipments and shipment lines you want to work with.
