Use the Shipment Workbench to allocate items, plan the picking of those items, and pick items for shipment.
You can mass allocate, mass plan pick, and mass pick for many shipments all at the same time, to save time.
After sales orders and sales order lines are released, you can go on to allocate, plan pick, pick for the orders, and confirm shipment.
You complete the allocate, plan pick, and pick tasks on the Shipment Workbench.
Before you use the Shipment Workbench, you must have the following:
You allocate items for shipment to reserve those items for a specific sales order.
In Kenandy, you can allocate items for one shipment at a time, or you can mass allocate items for many shipments at the same time.
To allocate items for a single shipment, follow these steps:
To mass allocate for multiple shipments, follow these steps:
Kenandy allocates the amount of this item to this shipment line. That number of items is reserved and can't be allocated or picked for other shipments.
Kenandy does the following:
Go on to Plan Pick.
Note: If you specified all the attributes (such as lot numbers and serial numbers) you track when allocating items, you don't have to plan pick. Go on to Pick. If you use Kenandy Mobile, your warehouse workers can now pick the items you've allocated using scanners.
To unallocate only part of the quantity allocated on a shipment line, follow these steps:
Note: Do not click Unallocate to unallocate partial quantities.

After you've allocated a quantity of items to a shipment line, you can plan the pick for that item. Your picker can see which location or bin to pick from and what attributes to pick, such as lot number and serial number.
You can plan pick items for one shipment at a time, or you can mass plan pick for many shipments at the same time.
To plan pick items for a single shipment, follow these steps:
To mass plan pick for many shipments at once, follow these steps:
Note: You can't plan pick items from a blocked bin.
Note: All shipment lines are selected for plan pick by default. To deselect them, click the blue checkbox at the top of the table.
Kenandy reserves the exact items you've chosen in specific locations and bins for shipment.

If you're using Kenandy Mobile, your warehouse workers can now see the items you plan picked as available to pick.
To unplan pick only part of the quantity allocated on a shipment line, follow these steps:

You can pick items to ship for a single sales order, or you can mass pick for many sales orders at once.
You can also use Kenandy Mobile to pick items to ship.

Note: All the shipment lines are selected to pick by default. To deselect them, click the blue checkbox at the top of the table.
Kenandy does the following:
Go on to the Shipment page, click Manage Delivery, and click Confirm Ship to confirm the shipment.
If you use Kenandy Mobile, your warehouse workers can now confirm shipment by going to the Ship page and scanning items for shipment as they load the items onto trucks.
To unpick only part of the quantity pick on a shipment line, follow these steps:

A Ship To customer has a single shipping address. The Ship To customer you choose must be a child of the Sold To customer you choose. |

A Sold To customer can include multiple Ship To customers that all have different shipping addresses. If you plan truck shipments for a single customer with multiple locations, use this field to search for that customer. |

If this checkbox is selected, Kenandy shows all sales order lines, including those that have already been allocated (when Allocate is selected), plan picked (when Plan Pick is selected), or picked (when Pick is selected). If this checkbox is cleared, Kenandy shows only sales order lines that have not yet been allocated, plan picked, or picked. |

| Packaging UOMs (UOM conversion) |
The packaging UOM fields depend on your company's setup. Each packaging UOM includes a conversion to this item's stocking UOM. For example, a cases packaging UOM = CS (12 EA). The stocking UOM of this item is EA (eaches) and a case contains 12 eaches. Enter an amount into the packaging UOM field you want to plan pick for. If you need to unplan a quantity of items from a shipment line, enter a minus sign and the number of items you want to subtract from the planned pick. For example, if the Quantity to Plan = 10 items and you want to decrease the planned pick to 7 items, enter -3 in this field. |
| Quantity Available (UOM) |
The quantity of this item that's available in your inventory for plan picking, that is, the quantity that's already been allocated. The Quantity Available is always shown in the stocking UOM for this item. |
| Quantity Plan Picked (UOM) |
The quantity of this item that's planned for shipment. Kenandy puts the value of the Quantity Ordered from the sales order line attached to this shipment into the Quantity Planned field automatically. |
| Quantity to Plan (UOM) |
The quantity you plan to pick from the bin on this line. You can't enter an amount into this field. Kenandy automatically enters the amount of items you entered into the packaging UOM field. This field uses the stocking UOM not the packaging UOM. |

| Transfer Order | Enter a transfer order number to assign a picker only to that specific transfer order. |
| Customer | Enter a customer if you want to assign a picker only to shipments for that customer. |

Enter the picker you want to pick this shipment. All shipment lines at the location you're assigning for will be assigned to this picker when you click Save. The picker will see assigned shipment lines on Kenandy Mobile. |
