1. Open the Purchase Agreement Release page by completing one of the following steps:
   • From the All Tabs page, click Purchase Agreement Release
   • From the Purchase Agreement List view page, in the View field, select All, and click Go! to display the Purchase Agreement Release button.
2. Enter the search criteria, click Search, and Kenandy displays the purchase agreement lines.
3. Locate the line you want to release.

   If you know the agreement number, enter it in the Search box. If not, scroll down the list until you find it.

4. Note the available quantity for your PA line and enter both the date needed and the quantity to be released. You cannot release more than the available quantity.
5. When the purchase agreement lines have been updated, click Add.

   Kenandy displays the line and quantity to be released in the Release Lines section of the page.

6. From the Released Lines section of the page, click Create Release.
If the minimum order quantity (specified on the Item Cross Reference) and the ordering multiple (specified on the facility item) requirements are met, Kenandy generates a purchase order. You can navigate to the purchase order from the link in the message displayed.

When purchase agreement lines are released, Kenandy creates purchase orders. During the lifecycle of the purchase order (updates, cancellations, receipts and returns), Kenandy updates the purchasing agreement to reflect the purchased quantity and the remaining quantity. Similarly, if you update the price on a purchase order, Kenandy updates the agreement to reflect the change.

On the Purchase Agreement Line Detail page, the Purchased Quantity reflects the sum of all purchase order lines linked to the agreement.

Example: Purchase Orders Generated from Released Lines

Kenandy generates a purchase order for each supplier based on the unique combination of ship-to facility, payment terms, FOB, and freight terms. To learn more, see Purchase Orders.

The following example illustrates how Kenandy generates four purchase orders for the same supplier.

• The first purchase order (PO 9001) is generated for items A and B. Both items are being shipped to Facility US, and the payment terms are the same (Net 30).
• Another purchase order (PO 9002) is generated for item C. It is being shipped to the same facility (US), but the payment terms are different (2 Net 30).
• A third purchase order (PO 9003) is generated for items A and B, because although both items have the same payment terms as lines 1 and 2, these items are also being shipped to Facility CAN.
• A fourth purchase order (PO 9004) is generated for item C. This purchase order is needed because the item is being shipped to Facility CAN and the payment terms are different from those on lines 4 and 5 (2 Net 30).
