Jeff Root is an independent recording artist and engineer who signed his first recording contract at eighteen to a small national label with collaborator, Martin Olson.

Later, Jeff and Grant were founding members of the band Hot Dates, an integral part of the Boston New Wave scene, which scored several top hits in the early 80s including the single "Tune In To Me" and the self-titled LP released on Boston Skyline records with producer Wayne Wadhams of Candid Camera fame.

After the demise of Hot Dates, Jeff turned his energies to software engineering and raising a family. In his spare time, Jeff engineered and produced many local records for New England artists as well as continuing to write and develop his songwriting and music production talents.

Jeff's son, Zack, began performing, writing and recording with his dad in 2010 as well as touring and opening for many intenational acts including The Kinks' Ray and Dave Davies.

In 2014, Jeff reunited with Grant to begin honing new material with an eye toward international recognition. The current band's critically acclaimed sound has been described as "Avant-garde... Indescribable... Experimental brilliance...", "Very well written songs that have a ton of substance..", "a beautifully strange rock and roll singer-songwriter".
