Diagnostic Test

1. INTERMITTENT DTC

With the scan tool, erase the current Intrusion Transceiver Module DTC's.
Turn the ignition off.
Arm the VTSS and wait 1 minute.
Disarm the VTSS and turn the ignition on.
Using the scan tool, read the ITM DTCs.

Does the scan tool display the same DTC?

Yes

No

2. DISCONNECT INTRUSION SENSOR AND RECHECK DTC

Disconnect each of the Intrusion Sensor connectors one at a time and recheck for DTC using the following steps.
With the scan tool, erase the current Intrusion Transceiver Module DTC's.
Turn the ignition off.
Arm the VTSS and wait 1 minute.
Disarm the VTSS and turn the ignition on.
Using the scan tool, read the ITM DTCs.

Does the scan tool display U1008-LIN 1 BUS?

Yes

No

3. (D122) LIN BUS CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY

Ensure all Intrusion Sensors are disconnected.
Disconnect the Intrusion Transceiver Module connector.
Measure the voltage of the (D122) LIN Bus circuit with the ignition switch Off and On.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

No

4. (D122) LIN BUS CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

Turn the ignition Off.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (D122) LIN Bus circuit.

Is the resistance above 1000 ohms?

Yes

No
