REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
3.
Remove the accessory drive belt.
(Refer to 7 - COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - REMOVAL)
4.
Remove vibration damper bolt.
5.
Insert Special Tool 8450 into crankshaft nose .
6.
Position 3-jaw puller Special Tool 1026 on damper as shown in . Turn puller forcing screw until damper releases from crankshaft.
7.
Remove the crankshaft vibration damper.
