REMOVAL - CRANKSHAFT MAIN BEARINGS
1.
Remove the oil pan.
(Refer to 9 - ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL PAN - REMOVAL)
2.
Identify main bearing caps before removal.
3.
Remove bearing caps one at a time. Remove upper half of bearing by inserting Special Main Bearing Tool C-3059 into the oil hole of crankshaft.
4.
Slowly rotate crankshaft clockwise, forcing out upper half of bearing shell.
