Getting to the centre
The Vardar Ekspress airport bus runs
to the main bus station five to eight
times a day; tickets are 100 denars
(€1.60).

(Gorgi Peskov 4) has local dishes,
and doubles as a cosy beer bar with
gallons of local and even some
foreign beers.
City suggestion
The Kale fortress is closed for repairs,
but the adjacent old bazaar area of
Skopje is a delight to explore, with its
narrow streets, craftsmen, medieval
churches and mosques, and one of the
liveliest markets in the Balkans.

Skopje’s
Youth Cultural Centre
(Kay Dimitar Vlahov 15) has an
international theatre festival in
September, and also organises the
White Night
event, with theatre,
poetry and other art in venues across
the city on 30 September.

Getting to the centre
We provide point-to-point bus
transfers between the airports (both
Ciampino and Fiumicino) and Rome
city centre (Termini Station). It is
€8.50/€17 return to/from Fiumicino
and €6/€12 return to/from Ciampino.
A slice of the city
A favourite summer visit is to the
‘Colosseum by Moonlight’
or La
Luna sul Colo, every Thursday and

City suggestion

is one of Rome’s best known

Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

Getting to the centre
Bus no. 22 takes 30 minutes to get
to the centre, it leaves opposite the
terminal, behind the car park P1. A
one-way ticket from the driver is 0.70
lats (€1), at the airport information
desk ‘Welcome to Riga’, it’s 0.50 lats.

west of Riga. Suburban trains leave
