DUDDELL'S
This acclaimed contemporary art
gallery, the brainchild of Hong
Kong restaurateurs Alan Lo, Paulo
Pong and Yenn Wong, doubles as
a stylish restaurant-cum-nightclub.
In almost every nook and cranny
of the restaurant you’ll find eclectic
artworks, part of curated exhibitions
featuring some of the world’s biggest
names. An Ai Weiwei-curated
exhibition earlier this year featured the
work of Hong Kong artists. Duddell’s
also host lectures, screenings and
sultry jazz nights. Feast on delicious
dim sum (a must is the fried rice roll
with XO chilli sauce) and crispy
salted chicken at this Michelin-starred
Cantonese restaurant, kick back in
the salon or relax on the leafy garden
terrace.

to the month’s exhibition; until 30

OLDISH
This café acquires exquisite furniture
– which amounts to works of art –
from across the globe and brings it
to Sheung Wan’s Tung Street, where
customers sit on trendy metal chairs
at the distressed wooden communal
table, musing over price tags as they
enjoy Thai fusion dishes and excellent
coffee.

Pennington Street in
Causeway Bay, this
nitrogen ice-cream parlour
prepares creative scoops
made to order using a
range of ingredients that
include teas, rose petals
and tropical fruits. Those
less eager to grab a scoop
as the weather gets chilly
can opt for one or more of
a number of fresh brews.
