of Pattaya, you should

Rest Your Head
WAVE
An art deco-inspired, four-
storey boutique hotel situated
on the beachfront, Wave stands
out on the strip thanks to its
sea-blue exterior and the hot-
pink Cadillac in the driveway.
The poolside Cabana Bar is a
lively night-time party spot.
(Beach Rd, near Soi 10)
THAI GARDEN RESORT
This is a long-established, well-
run operation in north Pattaya.
It’s reasonably priced, has a
friendly crowd, a nice pool and
a pub, the Moon River, with live
music. The restaurant is highly
recommended.

THE SPORTSMAN
Offering British-style pub grub
in a cosy atmosphere right in
the centre of town, this place is
famous for its Sunday Carvery,
a long-time hit with local
carnivores.
(Soi 13, South Pattaya)
I-ROVERS
Many places lay claim to having
the best English breakfast in
town, but this place – formerly
known as Irish Rovers – is
the consensus favourite. And
the price is unbeatable. The
THB99 English breakfast is a
trencherman’s delight, cooked
to perfection.

Bottoms Up
LUCIFER’S DISKO
Though it stays open until late,
the memorably named Lucifer’s
Disko tends to draw more
punters in the early evening. A
band performs in the section
of the place nearest the street,
while the dancing goes on in
the disco out back, which is
separated by a short walk.
(Walking St, South Pattaya)
LEGENDS POOL & SPORTS
Despite the presence of 11 pool
tables, a darts area and 17 TVs,
the centrepiece of this bar is a
massive “10-ball” surrounded
by a stainless-steel bar counter.
It’s an eye-catcher.

Pattaya Klang and Third Rd)
