alBisbee’sBlack&BlueMarlinTournament.Asthe

last-minutechecklist forthenextthreedays, complete
withaboning-upontheofficialrules, lestanyentrants
starttoosoonandgetdisqualified, thereby forfeiting
themostexpensiveentry fee insportfishing.Andeven
thoughmany inthebarhavebeenapartof the35tour-
naments—astheBlack&Bluewas,and is,a familyaffair
—thedozenAmericansarestillcognizantthatthere’s
nosuchthingasstatusquowhen itcomestotheBisbee.

of landingamonster.Andwhy?Because threedays
from today, someone isgoing tobeamillionaire.
