Two nonprofit organizations. One vision. American Progress operates two separate nonprofit organizations to maximize our ability to advance our progressive agenda. The Center for American Progress is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) tax-exempt research and educational institute. Contributions are attributed to the Center for American Progress. Except for the $150 charge per event attendee, donations are tax deductible, may be disclosed to the IRS, and will support policy initiatives, research, and public education. If paying by check, please make it payable to the Center for American Progress.
Contributions to the Center for American Progress Action Fund are not tax deductible and may be disclosed to the IRS. Contributions to the Action Fund support transforming progressive ideas into policy through a variety of activities. The Action Fund is a nonpartisan 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization dedicated to achieving progress through action.
