In a tropical country like Singapore, the ac system is a necessary house device. You require to run everything the time to keep the home well-ventilated and comfy for day-to-day activities. Nevertheless, your air conditioning unit is likely to establish issues over time due to the fact that of reasons such as lack of proper maintenance, constant usage, and changing weather condition all leading to the malfunction of the cooling device.
If an aircon conditioner is dripping, it leads to added tension since the home appliance stops working to work correctly and thus, fails to give you and your household the proper cooling that you need to withstand the heat. This problem, a bane to the presence of numerous a/c owners, can be attributed to numerous factors.

There are several causes that trigger the leaking and leaking of an aircon. Here are a number of possible culprits: Air leakage is one of the most typical reasons that might cause the a/c unit dripping and leaking water. For ideal function, the air reaching the air conditioning unit must travel through the vent.
The air does not go through the vent as it should. If this doesn’t occur, most likely the air is leaking which causes suboptimal functionality. To validate whether you’re experiencing an air leakage, you should do basic troubleshooting by analyzing the devices to see if there is leakage of air through the grates around the vent.

This is yet another common factor for an a/c unit dripping and leaking water. When the air filter becomes blocked, it prevents the flow of air through the system. This will lead to freezing of the air, and when you shut off the aircon or when the wanted air temperature is reached, ice formed on the filter starts melting.
If the air filter is obstructed or dirty, air circulation to the evaporator gets blocked, hence leading to a drop in temperature level. If the coil becomes too cold, it freezes. When the aircon is turned off, the indoor unit will stop drawing air to the interior, which then causes warming and leads to the melting of accumulated ice.
The condensation pump is a device located below the cooling coil. The function of the pump is to drain out water thoroughly so that leak is avoided. When the pump is broken or is malfunctioning due to the fact that of the build-up of dust and dirt, it leads to water dripping a clear indication that the pump is not working effectively.
The system consists of the condenser’s coil, a compressor, and the blower motor. As the system is located outside, it is most likely to collect debris and dirt, resulting in obstruction. It is one of the most common issues experienced by lots of property owners and aircon owners in Singapore. Clogging in the drain line makes your cooling system inefficient.

When these substances accumulate in the drain, it causes a delay in water drain of the aircon. This might result in excess inwater stock and spillage. Statistical quotes reveal that since of the tropical nature of the environment of Singapore, the inflow of water into air conditioning systems is slower than average.
This can lead to your aircon leaking and dripping water. If the air conditioning unit is not installed properly, it might be a major factor for water leaking. While you get the aircon set up, ensure that the front part is cooler than the rear part. By guaranteeing this, the water will be drained pipes appropriately so that it will not leak.
To prevent this, your cooling must be installed with an appropriate inclination to prevent leak. Inappropriate disposition of the system may lead to the failure to appropriately drain pipes water. As is the case for any other house appliance, your aircon also needs proper and timely maintenance. Ensure you clean up the system as sometimes as you can.
You may also check if the evaporator coil is working appropriately and ensure it is not in the early stages of rusting. If not done frequently, the issues of an aircon dripping water might concern plague you regularly. Whenever there is a participation of iron, it results in rusting because of the action of water and air (oxygen).
Relentless rusting in the drain pan is most likely to make the unit clogged, paving the way to the blockage of the flow of water outside. This eventually results in spilling and results in air conditioning leak. The evaporator coil is situated in the interior of the aircon. If you open the door to your aircon and discover the coil gathered within, it indicates the rate of melting is slower and this leads to water spilling over the drain pan.
