More About Franklinton, NC
Franklinton is a town in Franklin County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,023 at the 2010 census.
Franklinton, was established as Franklin Depot in 1839 on land owned by Shemuel Kearney (1791–1860), son of Crawford Kearney and Nancy White. A home constructed by grandfather Shemuel Kearney (1734–1808) was originally located south of town and is currently the second oldest residence in Franklin County, built in 1759. The building was purchased in 2009 and moved to nearby Louisburg for restoration. Franklin Depot changed its name to Franklinton in 1842 when the town was incorporated. Like Franklin County, Franklinton was named for Benjamin Franklin.[5][6]
Every cooling system includes an evaporator coil. The coil distributes refrigerant throughout a loop, which is what cools the air that moves through the rooms in your Guyton, Georgia, office or home. If your evaporator coil begins to leak, it’s simple to worry and not understand what to do. However with the aid of a HVAC professional and a quick reaction to the issue, you can get your evaporator coil up and running in no time.
But when you utilize cleaning items, aerosol air fresheners, adhesives for craft tasks, and other chemicals in your house, they frequently contain volatile natural compounds (VOCs). As VOCs integrate with moisture in the air, they can produce acids that form little pinhole leakages in the coil. These tiny holes, also referred to as “formicary tunneling rust,” allow air from the outside into your house.
The problem that many property owners deal with is understanding whether they have refrigerant leakages. The holes in the copper coil are incredibly little, so they’re hard to discover simply by taking a look at the element. Your evaporator coil also isn’t instantly noticeable to somebody looking at the A/C system, so a leak requires medical diagnosis by a knowledgeable A/C professional.
Here in the Guyton location, we experience warm and humid temperatures throughout much of the year. So most residential or commercial property owners rely heavily on their air conditioning systems to keep their homes comfortable throughout the late spring, summer season, and even early fall. If your cooling system takes a long time to cool your home down, this is a sign that you may have a refrigerant leak.
It may not be able to keep up, resulting in warm and uncomfortable temperatures throughout interior spaces. When you switch on your air conditioning unit or lower the thermostat, the cooling system need to kick on right away to begin blowing cold air through the vents. If the air flow feels weak or does not switch on right away, you may have a refrigerant leakage.

These signs might show other issues with the cooling system, but having warm air come out of your vents when the cooling system is on is never an excellent sign. If you do have this take place, turn off your system and call a HVAC expert to inspect. Keeping the system on may cause further damage.
However this isn’t like the fuel in your automobile that gets utilized up through routine use. A cooling system will not run out of refrigerant, unless it has a leakage. It cycles the very same refrigerant to cool the air as needed. So if you have actually worked with A/C professionals in the past who tell you that the system simply needs to be refilled, that is inaccurate.
If you suspect you have a refrigerant leakage, give us a call at Byrd Heating and Air Conditioning. We will send a service technician to your home or workplace right now to carry out testing that will assist validate the issue. If your suspicion is proper, the very best alternative is to change the evaporator coil.
While the cost of a brand-new evaporator coil isn’t always inexpensive, it will enable your system to effectively cool your home without having the refrigerant seep out through little holes. Routine maintenance of your A/C system is also essential to make certain it remains in great condition. Changing the filters monthly will keep the air moving efficiently while filtering dirt, dust, family pet hair, dander, pollen, and other particles out of the system.
Throughout your regular maintenance service, the technician can also check and clean the evaporator coil with a service that will eliminate dirt and dust and neutralize acid that types and triggers the leakages. A clean coil can transfer heat more effectively, which indicates that the system won’t have to remain on as long to cool the air.

So keeping your system running as efficiently as possible can help reduce the risk of a refrigerant leakage. Having your duct cleared out will likewise assist in enhancing the effectiveness of your heating and cooling system. When dust, pollen, dirt, and other particles develop up within the ducts, the system has to work harder to move the air to numerous parts of the home or workplace.
Regular duct cleaning is advantageous because it helps to extend the life of different elements of your cooling system, improves performance, and keeps better air quality, so you can breathe much easier. If you end up getting your evaporator coil replaced, the last thing you wish to do is continue using the very same products that triggered the leak in the very first place.
