More About Red Oak, TX
Red Oak is a city in Ellis County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The population was 10,769 at the 2010 census,[3] up from 4,301 at the 2000 census. The North Central Texas Council of Governments projects that number to grow to 63,329 by the year 2030,[4] as it is on the verge of explosive suburban growth. Red Oak was the exterior location for filming True Stories, directed by David Byrne of Talking Heads and released in 1986.
One of the first settlers to this area was James E. Patton and his family in 1844.[5] They settled in what is now known as Ovilla, Texas, located about two miles from Red Oak.[5] Before Red Oak was given its name in 1849, it was known as Possum Trot due to the animal that lived there.[5] The Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad began near the Red Oak area in 1884 and was completed in 1890.[5] This railroad allowed people to travel to Dallas and Waco.[5] In 1949, Red Oak became an incorporated town of Ellis, County.[5]
Every cooling system includes an evaporator coil. The coil flows refrigerant throughout a loop, which is what cools the air that moves through the rooms in your Guyton, Georgia, home or office. If your evaporator coil begins to leakage, it’s simple to stress and not know what to do. But with the help of a HEATING AND COOLING professional and a quick reaction to the problem, you can get your evaporator coil up and running in no time.
However when you utilize cleaning products, aerosol air fresheners, adhesives for craft tasks, and other chemicals in your house, they often contain unpredictable natural compounds (VOCs). As VOCs combine with wetness in the air, they can produce acids that form little pinhole leaks in the coil. These tiny holes, also described as “formicary tunneling rust,” permit air from the outdoors into your home.
The problem that lots of property owners deal with is understanding whether they have refrigerant leaks. The holes in the copper coil are incredibly small, so they’re challenging to detect just by taking a look at the element. Your evaporator coil also isn’t instantly noticeable to someone looking at the A/C system, so a leak needs diagnosis by a skilled HVAC specialist.
Here in the Guyton area, we experience warm and humid temperatures throughout much of the year. So most homeowner rely heavily on their cooling systems to keep their houses comfy during the late spring, summer season, and even early fall. If your cooling system takes a long time to cool your house down, this is an indication that you might have a refrigerant leak.
It might not be able to maintain, leading to warm and uncomfortable temperatures throughout interior spaces. When you switch on your air conditioning unit or lower the thermostat, the cooling system must kick on right away to begin blowing cold air through the vents. If the airflow feels weak or doesn’t switch on right now, you may have a refrigerant leakage.

These signs might suggest other problems with the cooling system, but having actually warm air come out of your vents when the cooling system is on is never a good indication. If you do have this happen, turn off your system and call a HVAC expert to examine. Keeping the system on might cause additional damage.
But this isn’t like the gas in your car that gets consumed through regular use. A cooling system will not run out of refrigerant, unless it has a leak. It cycles the very same refrigerant to cool the air as needed. So if you’ve dealt with A/C technicians in the past who tell you that the system just needs to be filled up, that is incorrect.
If you believe you have a refrigerant leak, provide us a call at Byrd Heating and A/c. We will send a professional to your office or home right away to perform screening that will assist validate the issue. If your suspicion is right, the very best option is to change the evaporator coil.
While the expense of a new evaporator coil isn’t necessarily low-cost, it will allow your system to efficiently cool your house without having the refrigerant seep out through small holes. Regular maintenance of your HVAC system is likewise essential to ensure it remains in good condition. Changing the filters each month will keep the air moving efficiently while filtering dirt, dust, family pet hair, dander, pollen, and other debris out of the system.
Throughout your routine maintenance service, the service technician can likewise inspect and clean the evaporator coil with an option that will remove dirt and dust and neutralize acid that types and triggers the leakages. A tidy coil can transfer heat more efficiently, which indicates that the system will not need to stay on as long to cool the air.

So keeping your system running as effectively as possible can help in reducing the risk of a refrigerant leak. Having your air ducts cleared out will likewise assist in improving the effectiveness of your heating & cooling system. When dust, pollen, dirt, and other particles construct up within the ducts, the system has to work harder to move the air to numerous parts of the office or home.
Routine duct cleaning is beneficial because it assists to extend the life of various components of your cooling system, enhances effectiveness, and maintains better air quality, so you can breathe simpler. If you end up getting your evaporator coil changed, the last thing you want to do is continue utilizing the same items that caused the leakage in the very first location.
