In the summer, our fans lower perceptible room temperature by 5 to 15 degrees by creating a wind-chill effect.
Sophisticated yet simple, the MacroAir’s motor has only two moving parts, compared to hundreds of gears in conventional fans. MacroAir was the first to create an HVLS fan, the first to introduce a 6-blade design, the first to run in reverse, and now the first to unveil the lightweight, energy-efficient, durable, and beautiful Direct-Drive HVLS motor. Stylish on the outside, most MacroAir fans also come equipped with a patented AirBrain that offers ground-level diagnostics, touchpad remote and full operations integration via Gateway. MacroAir's NASA-engineered blade has the perfect contour for moving air while putting minimum strain on the motor. Free software for calculating bolt circles and similar: Origin now settable to bottom left! You are going to need a pm motor for anything approaching the power level in that small size range.
All such motors are high speed and would need some kind of reduction to give any useful level of power at 1700 rpm. Note that I said hand blenders, stick blenders, hand mixers- anything like this which might be called stand mixer, stand blender, etc is going to have a different motor.
The closest thing other than what I've suggested would be a motor from a cordless skil type saw- but then you're into a lower dc voltage motor with much higher current draw needs which means a specialty power supply. What Evan is showing on his Unimat is larger than what you spec'd, but a more appropriate motor in my opinion. If you look into the radio control industry you will find examples of motors in small sizes which are much more powerful than any of these others. The hand blender type motors would be useful with about a 6-1 reduction, which can be had from the gear system in cordless drills. What are some other options- if you had nothing but time on your hands and some extra money kicking around, you could build up your own motor almost from scratch.

In the winter, when they run in reverse, they’re effective at de-stratifying air so that the warm layer on the ceiling is re-circulated all the way down to the shop floor.
While others simply imitate MacroAir’s old designs, our fans are on the leading edge of technology, simplicity, and reliability. In winter, they re-distribute warm air trapped on the ceiling to bring comfort through a room, cutting heating costs by up to 20%.
The controller allows you to run your fan forward, in reverse, or at a variable speed, and even includes a runtime hour counter. These quality fans include an enclosed permanently lubricated, PSC-type ball bearing single-phase motor for long life and optimum performance.
Possibly a trip to a couple of electric motor rebuild shops,, they could very well know of what you are searching for. From the limited specs I've been able to find, they are rated at up to 200 watts peak output power- one showed 113 watts at maximum efficiency. I found a very similar motor in a treadmill- one of the cheapest treadmills I've ever come across.
They also have a dc voltage and current requirement which would mean a custom power supply would be needed. In that case you might start with a corded drill which has a good armature, then buy some neodymium magnets and build up the two pole magnetic structure. The core of the system is a simple ring of copper with ultra low resistance and very small size. Thanks to their lightweight, innovative drive system and overall design, MacroAir fans are the most energy-efficient and longest-lasting of any HVLS fans. And while they’re both beautiful and stylish, MacroAir fans are also tough enough to work outdoors. The AirWing vented blade, featured on most models, even channels air to the motor to keep it running cool.
3 quiet aluminum blades are enclosed in double locking chrome plated steel wire guards for safety.

Though they are dc motors, rated at 120vdc, they are meant for use on 110vac with a bridge rectifier. Interestingly, there was a lifetime rating on a couple of them- one showed 500 hours, another showed 60 hours. They also develop the power by means of much higher rpms- one I looked at yesterday is rated at up to 100,000 rpm. Of course as soon as you do this you are turning the output shaft 90 degrees to the motor shaft. After the end bells are made, brushes installed, the pm field structure put together, etc, you'll find that the armature rpm will be much lower than it would have been in the drill.
With an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of 65, they provide the highest-rated protection against dust and are so moisture-resistant they can even be pressure-washed. 110 volt electric drill use the drill casing as the motor housing so that won't do unless Lane want a motor that looks like an electric drill, which I doubt. Johnson makes a lot of dc motors- one which might be suitable is the DC78 which I find in hand blenders. The torque will be higher as well, and it might actually be useful at the rpms you are wanting without any gearbox. The motor delivers 50% more mechanical horsepower and 76% more wind power, even though it’s one-third the size of a conventional gearbox. If you find that the rpm is around 2 or 3 k with the armature fed from 110vac and bridge rectifier, then you could use an electronic speed control to get you down to where you want it. This is a project that I might take on since I'm somewhat of a pm motor nutbar, but it certainly wouldn't be cost or time effective.
The motor comes with a rectifier board and can be speed controlled with a ceiling fan dimmer.
