Gene has 30 years of experience in senior-level financial and operational management in mid to large companies in diverse industries, including: Recreational Land Development (Resort / Planned Communities), Commercial Real Estate, Food Processing, and Land Transportation, specializing in turnarounds, new company / division startups, high growth projects, and earnings / process improvement plans.

For the last 15 years Mr. Thompson has worked on a contract consulting basis in C-Level positions with troubled and expanding companies, privately and publicly held, developing and implementing strategic plans, profit engineering, and raising associated debt and equity capital.

Since the late 80’s, Gene has been engaged with owners, principals, majority shareholders, and top management of industry-recognized companies with national and regional scale, in long-term financial and management assignments, including: VP & Treasurer of National American Corporation / Thousand Trails, Inc. – largest domestic recreational land developer / management company at the time, General Manager of Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District – a 4,000 acre planned / recreational / residential community, SVP & CFO of Sunland Distribution – a temperature controlled food distributor expanding operations with large real estate and commercial facility acquisition and financing transactions.

For the last 5 years, Thompson’s focus has been on assisting the exclusive Developer of Holiday Island Development Corporation market and sell its real estate holdings internationally. For the last 2 years Thompson and other industry-experienced board members and advisors have taken control of Holiday Island Holdings, Inc., a development stage publicly held company, and they are currently raising near capital to support operations, concurrently working on mid and long term capital to acquire real estate at Holiday Island, Arkansas, take the exclusive developers place and dominate the local residential, commercial, and retail markets.

Gene holds a BSBA in Accounting from Henderson University and an MBA from the University of Arkansas.

Tom came from very humble beginnings growing up in Keiser, Arkansas – a cotton growing Mississippi Delta region near Memphis, Tennessee - to become one of the most highly recognized and successful planned community / resort developer and operators in the industry.

After earning his master’s degree, Mr. Dees pursued a career initially in education, eventually becoming the Vice President of Arkansas College (now Lyons College), then choosing to pursue a business career.

In 1980, Tom was appointed to manage all of MCO’s (now MAXXAM – Houston, Texas) real estate holdings, which included Holiday Island and about eight other resorts / planned communities in and outside of the U.S. In 1990, Mr. Dees acquired Holiday, Island from MAXXAM, and he has been the exclusive Developer of Holiday Island since.

In the past 27 years, Tom has taken Holiday Island from a very small, financially-troubled community to a growing and financially strong town, complete with all amenities, self-sustaining government, with a population of approximately 3,000 permanent residents, and the newest and largest shopping center within a 20 mile radius.

During his 47-year career in the planned community development, Tom has been recognized throughout the industry for his marketing, sales, administrative, and development expertise. Mr. Dees has led successful developments of planned communities from California to Puerto Rico.

Tom has also been a visible participant in many state and federal level political campaigns, and he maintains close and strong relationships with numerous in and out of office politicians. Tom was a founding member and Secretary / Treasurer of the Northwest Arkansas International Airport “XNA” Board of Directors. Mr. Dees was also a Board Member and active in the development and fund raising for the Bentonville Hospital during Northwest Arkansas Metroplex initial high-growth period.

Mr. Dees holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Tom was recently on the Athletic Department Board of Arkansas State University.

Tom and his wife, Kathy, have been residents of Holiday Island for 27 years. Tom is available to participate in the further development, and marketing and resale of the real estate, on behalf of the Holiday Island Holdings Inc., in an advisory capacity, and under contract for any acquisition of properties in other geographic locations.


Andy is a native of Arkansas, and he has working knowledge and advisory experience with past and current management of Holiday Island, Arkansas based businesses for approximately 20 years. He is also a long time business associate and friend to Holiday Island Holdings, Inc. CEO and Chairman.

After serving 4 years in the U. S. Navy, High returned to Arkansas, where he advanced to become a Vice President and Operations Manager for Klipsch & Associates, a leading designer and manufacturer of loudspeaker systems sold globally, then he worked in operations and retired from a major military vehicle rebuild company.

For the last 20 years, Mr. High has operated his own furniture and appliance store at Hope, Arkansas.

Andy is a graduate of Hope High, and he has studied at Henderson State University, and the University of Arkansas.


Michael has over 20 years of diverse financial management experience for public and private start-up and early stage ventures with a focus on business intelligence, reporting transparency, financial planning and analysis, administrative leadership, process and systems improvement, and compliance.

In his tenure with VillageEDOCS, Inc, (predecessor of Holiday Island Holdings, Inc.) he had a key role in every significant corporate milestone including going public, going private, acquisitions, divestitures, capital formation, and operational and capital restructuring.

He served as Controller for The, Inc., a public new media company providing unique content, private label search engine, and e-commerce solutions. Prior to that he served as the principal accounting officer and as a director of PortaCom Wireless, Inc., a public developer and operator of companies with contracts to provide wireless telecommunication services in China and other emerging markets.

Prior to that he worked as a Property Manager for StrataCo Property Management, and as a Project Controller for Guildford Park Estates, a real estate development company.


Kendall has a 44 year career in data processing/data communication and electronics with IBM Corporation, Inforex Corporation, Paradyne Corporation, Security Tag Corporation, Sensormatic Electronics Corporation, and Technology Research Corporation.

At Paradyne, a $ 260 million data communications company, Jerry served in various executive positions for 11 years, including President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board member. At Sensormatic, a $ 1.1 billion company electronic security company, Kendall held executive positions for 8 years, including Executive Vice President and President of the Americas, representing $ 670 million in revenue. Jerry later served as President and Chief Executive Officer or TRC, where he led the growth of the company from a previous 5 year run rate of $ 17 million year to annual revenues of over $ 39 million. He served as President and Board member of VillageEdocs, Inc. (Holiday Island Holdings, Inc’s predecessor), a publicly held software company.

Mr. Kendall has had a varied role in the local community for non-profit organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Orchestra, as Vice President, The Salvador Dali Museum, and the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. Jerry has served Petersburg Grand Prix. He represented the Pinellas County area on the Task Force for internationalizing Tampa Bay.

With his wife, Charlotte, they were a founding couple of the Parents Council Advisory Board for Clemson University as Chair Couple. Together, they also serve on the Board of Visitors for Kanuga, an Episcopal Conference Center and Retreat. Jerry also serves on the Kanuga Board of Directors. They have been members of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church for 33 years where Kendall has been a member of the Vestry. Kendall also served on the board of Students in Free Enterprise, and on the Student Affairs Advisory Board for Clemson University. Mr. Kendall currently serves on the Canterbury Preparatory School Board.

Jerry Kendall received his BA in Industrial Management in 1967 while attending Georgia Tech and Georgia State Unversity. In 1970, Jerry received his MBA from Georgia State University.
