I honestly never restrict calories, carbs, protein, or whatever else people may restrict to be thin, for I need all of those things to be able to gain muscle in the first place.
Essentially, it is important to include food (like the ones mentioned above) that is high in protein, healthy fats, carbs, and fibers since that is what muscles need to help them grow (combined with weight training of course). I mentioned this earlier when I said that I usually do not stop myself if I want something sweet or something not necessarily good for me.
Of course you want to add healthier options and eliminate some not-so-healthy ones, but that does not mean you are never allowed to eat something sweet again. I liked how you said that it is better to eat small amounts of dessert then just not eating it at all.
As much as I like healthy food such as fruits and vegetables, I also love me some bacon cheeseburgers so I feel the need to keep those in my life. While you can get most of those from eating healthy, I still don’t stop myself if I decide I want ice cream or a piece of cake.
I have found that balance is the key to living healthy and making sure you are staying healthy and strong. I liked how you included a list of foods that are healthy and then those that help build strong muscles.


I have seen a few television shows and read some articles that clarify that it is okay to binge every now and then.
As long as everything is well-balanced and you keep your healthy foods in check, you will be living the healthy lifestyle. I agree that promoting healthy living does not just mean watching the number on the scale go down and that you can treat yourself once in a while.
Personally, I think I would go crazy if I completely cut myself off from desserts here and there.
After all, it is better to have desserts in small amounts than to cut yourself off so much, to the point where you decide to eat your body weight in unhealthy food in one sitting.
