36 weeks pregnant and your baby weighs about 6lbs.  At the end of this week, at this point of your pregnancy, your baby will be full term.
One of the pregnancy symptoms you may be going through when you’re 36 weeks pregnant are Braxton Hicks contractions. Now that you’re 36 weeks pregnant the excitement of your pregnancy will soon be over and even all those frustrating pregnancy symptoms will soon be behind you.

Even when your baby's ears are fully developed, the sounds will be muffled by the barrier of amniotic fluid and by your own body. Dr Sheena MeredithHow is your baby growing at 36 weeks?Your baby is about 48cm long and weighs around 2.7kg (6lb), but remember this is only a guide – babies aren't all born the same size. We had a doctor’s appointment Monday, weekly from here on out, and listened to my favorite sound lately: her heartbeat! Our doctor doesn’t think we will have a BIG baby, and I’m completely fine with that!
I’m going a local event where Certified Child Passenger Safety Specialists will help you correctly install the seat.
Oh, and something we failed to research (and spent precious $$ on)- if you rent a rental car while traveling, take the SnugRide with you! Apparently my usually-super-researching self failed to look at the car seat options and I trusted the rental car people more than me. And gosh I feel like there are so many new things I am going to learn and need to learn, feel overwhelmed!

Take some time not to think about all your pregnancy symptoms and instead sit quietly with music pressed up against your belly.  This is a great time to keep bonding with your baby!

By about week 24, the outer, middle and inner ear are well-developed, and between weeks 23 and 27, your baby should begin to hear sounds. The clearest sounds will be your heartbeat and also your voice which reverberates and is amplified through your body. I’m very thankful when I know many women deal with nausea throughout pregnancy or other complications. It has to be the unseasonably cool Spring which likely has helped me avoid any swelling issues. I have a friend who has very similar coloring to your hubs, and her hubby has similar coloring to you (though his hair is a bit darker) and their 4 children are GORGEOUS.
YES to the flip flops, my best friend over here since I can wear them now with the nicer weather, the toms too I love! At this point, it probably feels like you’ve been pregnant forever, but it seems like the blink of an eye to everyone else. So think about loading up on snacks that you’ll be able to eat with one hand!  While one hand is eating a healthy snack the other will be busy nursing your baby. He or she will just be putting on weight until birth, and may gain about 30g (1oz) a day in fat. From now until your baby is born, you'll feel jabs of elbows and feet that may be uncomfortable, even painful. Your baby won't have much room to move around, so he or she is unlikely to change from either a head-down or head-up (breech) position, but you will still feel movements and see them on the surface of your bump. How are you changing in week 36?If this is your first pregnancy, the baby should have moved into the head-down position and may now be dropping into the birth canal – this is sometimes referred to as "engagement" or "lightening", terms that describe the baby being in a lower position in the womb. Breastfeeding, bathing, pooping, diapering, swaddling… I’m honestly not freaking out at this point, because what good does worrying do? The more prepared you are for labor the less you’ll have to worry about when the time comes so that you can focus on your childbirth experience without distractions.
You may feel the baby's head pressing down on your pelvic floor, and if you had been short of breath, you may be able to breathe more easily as the baby moves away from your ribcage. Your baby's brain is developing quickly and hearing and eyesight is becoming fully developed.
And if you get home and baby’s still asleep, you can just bring the seat in and let her keep snoozing.

People who are far less equipped to parent [she used a few politically incorrect examples] have babies all the time.
I also need to get my birth plan on paper as well, of course I am NOT expecting my plan to go like I see it, I know there could be other things that happen to change it, but I will embrace whatever and go with the flow that day! Towards the end of the trimester, the baby's position changes to prepare for birth, dropping down toward the birth canal. You may feel the baby's head pressing down on your pelvic floor, and if you had been short of breath, you may be able to breathe more easily as the baby moves away from your ribcage. You should also be given information about caring for and feeding your newborn baby, the options for giving your baby vitamin K at birth, screening tests for newborn babies, and what you may expect of your own health during and after labour, including postnatal depression. You can use Braxton-Hicks contractions for practising the breathing techniques you have learnt in your antenatal classes.
Shifting into another position can help alleviate the contractions.Once you're home with a newborn, the last thing you'll want to do is run out to do some shopping, so it's a good idea to stock up on some basic essentials in advance ensuring that nappies, toilet paper and sanitary pads are on your list along with your normal store-cupboard basics. If you are using your own car or a friend has volunteered to take you, the car should be in good running order and have plenty of petrol to get you to the hospital. You'll also need a car seat appropriate for a newborn baby.
Make sure you are familiar with how to use the car seat before you need to use it – once the baby is born, you won't want to waste time trying to work out how to strap the seat into the car when all you want is to get your baby home. The time you go into labour can't be predicted, so in case the driver is not available, also consider back-up plans, which could include calling a taxi. Make a list of important phone numbers – such as your partner's or birth partner's numbers and the phone number of your hospital or midwife – along with your hospital reference number and keep them, and your ‘Maternity Hand-Held Record’, to hand.
You could make copies of the list to give to your partner and your back-up support. Now that you've made all your arrangements in preparation for your baby's arrival, give yourself a treat.
Especially if this is your first child, you may not realise that arranging for childcare may mean you won't have as many chances to enjoy evenings out.
