Luzanna was born (est.) 1770. She married Josiah Dobbs, son of John Dobbs, about 1789 in Elbert County, Georgia. She died after 1820 in Georgia.
Also called Lucy, Lewcy, Luzanny and Susannah. (Some variations may be related to misreading "S" vs. "L" in 18th C. script).
Free white females could get one draw in the Georgia land lottery of 1806, and Lewcy Dobbs got one draw. In Feburary 1817, James and Anna Prothro sold to Nathaniel Prothro 540 acres on the banks of the north fork of Cedar creek in Elbert County, Georgia. This land was adjacent to land owned by the Dobbs family. The deed was witnessed by Evan Prothro and his wife Elizabeth. (see Nathaniel Prothro).1
By 1820, her husband, Josiah, had passed away and she was listed as head of a household in Elbert County, Georgia.
