   1850 Wayne Co. KY, Stephen C. Dobbs, age 17, son in house of John Dobbs, Sr. b. 1791, b.TN. John's wife is Susannah (Davenport?)
   1860 Stephen C. Dobbs, 913th GMD, Morganton, Fannin Co., GA, age 28, with family, living next door to Thos. B. Davenport family.
   1880 Athens, Clarke Co. GA Stephen C. Dobbs, age 47, wholesale merchant
   1889 Athens Ga City Directory: Stephen C. Dobbs, wholesale and retail grocer, resides at 304 N. Thomas
   Clerking in his store are Wm. L. Dobbs, residence 125 Waddell; and John E. Dobbs, residence N. Thomas
   The Georgia virtual valule shows there is "correspondence" on Stephen C. Dobbs among their records, but the details of the record is not shown online. Ref: Doc. 288: 1861-1865 C115643. The record dates indicate that it could be Civil War information. Some online family trees are showing him as Stephen Calvin Dobbs.
   I'm wondering if the S. C. Dobbs you list in the 2nd. Regiment, and the Stephen C. in the 11th regiment could be the same person. In the past, I have come across records where the same person has served in different regiments when fragments of regiments were combined, or where reorganization occurred..
