John Dobbs was born on March 7, 1782 in Pendleton Dist, South Carolina.1 He was the son of Lodowick Dobbs and Sarah Adams. He married Sarah Jackson on August 2, 1812 in Franklin County, Georgia.2 He died on September 7, 1860 in Madison County, Georgia, at age 78.1
