Patrick Bannon was born on July 12, 1824 in Killough, Down, Northern Ireland. He was the son of Patrick Bannon Sr. and Elenora Keenan. He married Louisa Ellen Smith, daughter of Early Smith, in 1860 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died on February 6, 1906 in Louisville at age 81. He was buried on February 9, 1906 in St. Louis Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.1He emigrated about 1843 from Ireland. He was naturalized in 1854 in Louisville. He was President of the Board of the Council in 1868 in Louisville. He was on the Louisville City Council about 1870 in Louisville. He was a terra cotta manufacturer and owned a number of factories in Louisville.
