Insert equations

To insert an equation (including mathematical symbols, fractions, accents etc.),

  1. put the cursor within the necessary line ,
  2. click the Insert Equation Insert Equation icon icon at the top toolbar,
  3. in the opened drop-down list select the equation category you need. The following categories are currently available: Symbols, Fractions, Scripts, Radicals, Integrals, Large Operators, Brackets, Functions, Accents, Limits and Logarithms, Operators, Matrixes,
  4. click the certain symbol/equation in the corresponding set of templates.

The selected symbol/equation box will be inserted at the cursor position. If the selected line is empty, the equation will be centered. To align such an equation left or right, click on the equation box and use the Align Left icon or Align Right icon icon at the top toolbar.

Inserted Equation

If the equation template contains a placeholder (a small dotted box Equation Placeholder), click within it and type in a desired number/symbol using the keyboard. Build your equation by typing the necessary values into all the placeholders.

Edited Equation

The existing values can be edited in the same way.

Edited Equation

To delete the added equation select it completely by double clicking it. The equation will be highlighted blue. Then press the Delete key on the keyboard.
