Laguna Tebenquiche

Close to San Pedro de Atacama are some shallow lakes that are famous for their "mirror effect". The shores of the lakes are composed of mud that's dried into strange shapes. However, the area is protected -- only one side of one lake is open to the public, and only by taking a wide gravel path.
