Mia
Mia is a large, big-boned, 4 month old puppy, apparently mixed with another large breed, possibly Akita. A good samaritan found her around New Year's Eve and was unsuccessful in finding her owners, so turned her over to us. She has typical German Shepherd coloring of black and tan, and will have a beautiful GSD coat when her adult coat is complete.
Like all puppies at this age, she is teething and wants to chew on everything in sight. She likes to dig and play in her water bowl, and will chase sprays of water, although she stays out of the swimming pool so far. She loves to be in the middle of everything and will cry when left outside for long. She's learning to be "Quiet" and "No biting." Once she's had lots of exercise, she will settle down and want to cuddle. She gets along with the big dogs who do their best to stay clear of her sharp puppy teeth. She is learning to live with cats, but doesn't seemed fazed when she gets swiped on the nose by one. She is a bright and very determined little girl, she learns quickly with firm corrections. Mia needs more experience riding in cars, she tends to get car sick when taken for rides over 15 minutes.
She will need a home with a puppy-tolerant dog, and where everyone is experienced raising strong, determined and very stout puppies! Lots of toys and a crate for the evenings are a must for this feisty pup!
