Lolita
Re-introduced July 2015
Lolita aka "Lola" is a beautiful, thin, leggy mostly black female, approximately 1 year old, about 55 pounds. She was turned in to a Sacramento area shelter by her previous owners who had spent time on training for her, but found they could no longer keep her.
Lolita has a lot of puppy traits left in her - loves to play, high energy, gently mouthy, a little clumsy and absolutely adorable. She is nearly fully grown height wise - perhaps she'll grow another inch or so. She will likely put on a couple more pounds in the next several months as she matures and fills out. Lola is housebroken and crate trained. She enjoys playing rough with other dogs and can definitely hold her own, but is just as happy to hang out with her people. Lola is very attentive and affectionate and loves petting and other PDAs. She loves playing fetch, running after the ball and pawing it around when she catches it.
Lola is a sensitive girl who takes correction well and without resentment. She gets along with everyone, adults and kids. She is cat tolerant and could likely learn to coexist with a cat. Lola rides well in a car and waits patiently if you leave her to go shopping. If you take her into a dog-friendly store like Home Depot, Lowes, or PetSmart her behavior is excellent. Lola's leash behavior is good with only light pulling. She comes when called and is knows basic commands of Sit, Down etc. She would be an excellent addition to the right family.
