A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the eligibility of certain individuals for the children |
|
|
with special health care needs program. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 35.0022(a), Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) In this chapter, "child with special health care needs" |
|
|
means a person who: |
|
|
(1) is younger than 21 years of age and who has a |
|
|
chronic physical or developmental condition; or |
|
|
(2) has cystic fibrosis or sickle cell disease, |
|
|
regardless of the person's age. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
