A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to prohibiting a fee for a parent-taught driver education |
|
|
instructor designation. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Sec. 1001.112(f), Education Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
(f) The department may not charge a fee for: |
|
|
(1) the submission of proof of: |
|
|
(A) [(1)] completion of a course conducted under |
|
|
this section; or |
|
|
(B) [(2)] passage of an examination administered |
|
|
under Subsection (e); |
|
|
(2) an application for designation as a person |
|
|
eligible to provide parent-taught driver education; or |
|
|
(3) designation as a person eligible to provide |
|
|
parent-taught driver education. |
|
|
Section 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
