Students will look at multiple historical sources that tell the story of American Indian history in the early 19th century and reflect on how this history hS Impacted them today. Students will be able to access the Internet to do searches of that help them explore perspectives of how Native American and white Americans should coexist during a time of great change in our nation. Students should also have knowledge of the post Revolutionary War development of the United States, including the Constitution, Jefferson's Presidency, Louisiana Purchase, War of 1812, Jackson's Presidency, the "Great Revival" as well as relevant North Carolina history during this time.
