Grenache, Cinsault, Tempranillo, Pinot Noir… nearly every wine grape has been used to make Rose wine. Cellaring Rose Besides a few rare examples such as Rose from Bandol, France, you should expect to drink Rose within a year of its release.
Any Rose wine can be produced in a sweet style by simply not fermenting all the sugar into alcohol. Many Cabernet Sauvignon producers in Napa valley use the Saignee method to increase the richness of their red wines. Beringer winery was founded in 1876 and is the oldest winery on the US soil with continuous operation, so it is no surprise that the international wine scene often considers this winery to be a historical monument of American viniculture and viticulture. According to Decanter’s harvest guide for 2002, that year was considered as an extremely good period for Californian Merlots.
With a deep bluish purple hue with a darker border, this wine opens with intensive and rich varietal aromas of wild blackberries and raspberries. At first, the wine seems rather mild and neutral on the palate, only to develop satisfyingly rich flavors of forest fruits, coffee and dark chocolate which is excellently complemented with a hint of mint. All in all, this is a very subtle, refined and smooth wine we recommend to be consumed immediately. A member of the Cabernet family of grapes, Carmenere is a grape originally planted in the Medoc region of Bordeaux.
Carmenere is one of the most ancient European varieties, and is thought to be the antecedent of better known varieties. Far from being extinct, the grape has thrived in several areas outside of France, most notably Chile, where growers preserved the grape for 150 years almost by mistake, thinking it to be Merlot. Carmenere grapes naturally develop high levels of sugar before tannic ripeness is achieved.
While Carmenere and Merlot are similar, and may in fact be genetically related, there are some differences to help pick them apart. While originating in France, only a few hundred acres of Carmenere officlally exist in the country now.

Carmenere is often blended with other grapes, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. A wine lover for as long as I can remember, I hope that my thoughts on wine can help others to make decisions on what they should drink as well. Roscato is an irresistible, delicately sweet, gently fizzy red wine from the northern Italian region of Lombardy.
With a low alcohol of 7% and just a touch of sparkle to flawlessly balance the sweetness, Roscato is the ideal complement for today’s cuisine. My daughter and I went out for dinnersome months ago, and she introduced me to the following wine.
This is an absolutely wonderful wine and this is coming from someone who doesn''t really care for wine.
I absolutely love this red wine I''m not a huge drinker, but this particular wine set the bar for me as far as taste is concerned. I never really cared too much for wine, but I went to have dinner with some friends at Olive Garden & the girl at the bar recommended it & I gave it a try & I love it!
Not a wine drinker nor my wife but had a sample at our OG and after checking their price, spent several days looking at every wine store in our area until one finally told me that it cannot be purchased in NC but is an exclusive for OG. My partner isn''t much of a drinker, but the first time we tasted this wine, we had to have more. My wife and I took our son and his girlfreind to dinner at olive garden my son and I are Beer drinker''s but our server got all of us to try a sample of this great wine.
This is the most satisfying red wine, but the only drawback is you cannot fing it in most liquor stores in our area. My wife has always been the wine expert in our house,i was just a beer drinker till she got me to taste this wine, i loved it and i hate wine.
I have always hated win because of the after taste but when the waitress at olive garden told me to taste roscato rosso dulce red wine I couldn''t believe I found a piece of heaven. I am not a fan of red wine, but my sister-in-law introduced me to this wine that she tasted at Olive Garden. I was born-again. I learned to love red wine (and vegetables) as part of The South Beach Diet.

If you travel there, you’ll find an abundance of Rose wines available at wineries, but usually nowhere else. They transferred their work experience with viticulture and viniculture from their homeland in Rhein river valley to California. That is why this Beringer wine could serve to a wider circle of wine enthusiasts as a ticket to return to the world of Merlot, that gained an undeservedly bad reputation after the release of the movie Sideways.
Primary aromas are intertwined with the aroma of mushrooms and moist forest, with an occasional hint of cheese. Made from three native grape varieties grown in this beautiful region for centuries – Croatina, Teroldego and Lagrein – Roscato makes a wonderful aperitif and is also incredibly food-friendly. Took a high dollar bottle home that night, two days later, took two bottles home, then got smart and ordered from Jericho Wine, expecting it in tomorrow!
Friends had introduced me and Greg through email and he and I were planning my visit to San Francisco to meet in person. Ever since the first harvest on US soil, Beringer brothers applied then unthinkable avant-garde ideas like the gravitacijsko kolajuće winery, a thousand feet long underground tunnel for wine aging.
The layered aromas are complete with the recognizable smoke aroma with a hint of oak, giving additional complexity to this wine. This is a very nicely balanced wine (14 percent of alcohol by volume) that, in our opinion, still lacks the additional note of fruitiness that would make a wine of perfect roundedness. My cousin actually bought me a bottle of some other wine from Italy and I could not remember the name of it nor could I find something comparable to it, until now. Even in college, my sister got me drunk for the first time just a few months shy of my 21st birthday and it didn’t go well.
The college date night restaurant where I wanted to have an alcoholic beverage AND impress my boyfriend for being worldly.
For the first two weeks, you’re on a very strict NO SUGAR (no fruit, no carbs of any sort, no booze) diet and then you add things back in during Phase 2 until you reach your goal weight.
