With the announcements made by Governor Kelly yesterday, we feel that we have enough information available to lay out our phased plan to reopen our physical studio. Please know that the health and safety of our students and their families is of paramount importance to us and we will continue to respond to any new or developing guidelines that might come from the state of Kansas.

IMPORTANT: The phased reopening plan will allow some students to come to the studio for some classes to be used as "assistants". If you are NOT comfortable with your dancer coming into the studio in May, please complete the OPT OUT Form by Monday, May 4th. Miss Jana will be making a rotating schedule with the goal being that those who are interested will have an opportunity to attend some classes in person during May. Zoom classes will continue throughout the entire month of May for students who are not in the studio.

We know that you are anxiously awaiting a plan for Recital! We have considered all of the options and have come up with a plan that we hope will meet the needs/desires of most our students, while also maintaining precautionary measures regarding large gatherings. If our phase-in is allowed to proceed as outlined, we would resume normal classes at the studio in June. We would use the 1st 3 weeks of June to practice and work on the technique and recital choreography in the studio during regular classes. The Recital would take place the during the last week in June; with classes being spread out throughout the week to limit the number of kids performing as well as limit audience. As you might imagine, given the current circumstances, finding a venue to hold the Recital has been difficult. We are still awaiting confirmation of a venue for the last week in June. Once we are able to confirm that date, we will provide additional information. But for now, we want you to know that we do have a tentative plan to perform these dances on a stage during the last week in June.

We want to THANK YOU for your perseverance and patience during this uncertain and challenging time. We know that it has been difficult and we feel incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such supportive families and wonderful dancers. We are looking forward to better things in the future and hope that these plans will provide some much needed information for you and your dancers.
