Navigate the Dashboard

The Teacher Dashboard in Heinemann Flight supports links and easy navigation to portfolios, assignment statuses, and teacher’s classes. It allows teaches to plan, teach, and access content.

The Teacher Dashboard contain three main elements: Select a Product Widget, Select a Class Widget, and Assignment Overview.

Select A Product Widget

The Select A Product widget allows teachers to see all portfolios and products that they have licenses for. Clicking the product card takes users to the My Products page for the selected product.

The number at the top right is the total count of product cards the teacher is entitled to.

Select a Class Widget

The My Classes widget displays all of the teacher’s classes. Clicking a class name opens the My Classes page to the selected class’s view.

The number at the top right is the total count of classes listed.

Assignments Overview Widget

The Assignments Overview widget alerts teachers to assignments that are due today or past due. The widget allows teachers to quickly assess what work the class currently needs to complete and what work is ready for grading.

The assignment boxes in the area show the title and icon of each assignment, along with its due date and the number of students whose work is due today or overdue. Clicking the arrow in each box shows Assignment Details.

The Due Today field lists assignment across all classes that are due on the day. The Total Pending number shows the total count of students with assignments due that day.

The Overdue field shows assignments across all classes that are under 20 days past due. The Total Outstanding number shows the total count of students that have assignments overdue less than 20 days. (Assignments more than 20 days overdue are visible on the Assignment page.)

Clicking an assignment link brings teachers directly to the assignment. Once there, teachers may access the Assignments Overview page by clicking Back to Assignments Overview.
