Title: Benefits of Dropshipping

Hello,

Dropshipping has a lot of benefits over traditional methods
of inventory acquirement, and we are going to take a look
at a few of them now.

The most obvious, of course, is the fact that you need
little to no startup capital. Rather than buying inventory
upfront and potentially investing thousands of dollars,
you list inventory you do not own, and when a customer
makes a purchase, you use the money they paid you to order
the product from the dropshipper. The dropshipper then
ships the product directly to the buyer.

This means you don’t have to spend a ton of money on
inventory, and you spend money only when someone actually
orders a product.

Another great benefit of dropshipping is that is is much
easier than having to order inventory, find a place to
store all of it, manage it effectively, pack and ship to
customers, and deal with customer service and returns.

Of course, you’ll have to deal with some customer service
and return issues, but since some of the work gets
transferred to the dropshipper, there will be less for
you to deal with.

You won’t have to deal with paying for a warehouse and
deal with stocking it and managing inventory — all of
which are time consuming and frustrating at times.

You won’t have to be tethered to a specific location.
As long as you have a laptop and an internet connection,
you can forward orders to your dropshipper and handle
customer service issues.

You can also have a much wider selection of products
than you might if you have to front the cost. You could
potentially have millions of dollars worth of products
on your store without spending a penny upfront.

It’s also much easier to scale your business, because
you won’t have to worry about purchasing each new
product you want to carry. You just put it up on your
website. It’s that simple.

Plus, if you receive a sudden rush of orders, it will
be much easier to handle them when all you have to do
is forward them to your dropshipper rather than having
to pack and ship each one yourself.

Of course, dropshipping isn’t perfect. Like anything in
life, it has its share of issues.

We will discuss these potential issues, as well as some
ways you can mitigate them, in tomorrow’s lesson.

Until then,
