Title: Not the time to stand out

How you doing?

So, you know how you’ve always been told that you
should do everything in your power to stand out in
your market, and to make sure that people notice you?

Forget all of that for today, will you?

Because with this new traffic generation strategy, it’s
all about blending in. In fact, the more you blend in,
the more traffic you’ll likely generate.

Sounds kind of crazy, right?

I know, but it works… and it works really well. Let me
tell you more about it.

With native advertising, it’s all about providing your
visitor with a positive, engaging and interactive
experience. You want people to land on the page, enjoy
the content and want to find out more about you. (You
know, click through to your website, explore your products,
tell all of their friends and family about you - you know
what I mean.)

Well, to do that you need to create content that emulates
the look and feel of existing content on a host’s website.

For example, if you were setting up a native advertising
campaign with Facebook, you may want your ads to all be
the same colour and font style as those that are put out
there by Facebook themselves.

Or, if you are publishing a post on BuzzFeed, you would
want your font size, spacing and even the editorial style
tone or voice used to be very similar to the majority of
content already on the website.

Why?

Because with native advertising you are catering to an existing
audience who is used to a specific look and feel. And it’s your
job not to interrupt the user experience by ensuring that YOUR
content is very similar. You’re keeping the flow going,
you know what I mean?

And guess what will happen when you do this?

You’ll get more traffic to your website than you ever would
with traditional (boring and ineffective) advertisements
that we all used to use.

And you’ll get this traffic at a fraction of the price.

More tomorrow. Keep your eyes open for the email.

of exploiting native advertising to your advantage.
