Title: How To Test Your Copy BEFORE Launch

Hello,

One of the biggest mistakes people make is failing to test
their sales copy BEFORE launch.

I’ve never understood how anyone could overlook such a
critical element in the launch process.

Would you drive a car that had never been tested?

Would you take a medication that had never been tested?

Would you let a lawyer who hadn’t passed the bar exam
represent you in a criminal case?

How about a doctor who hadn’t passed any of his exams in
medical school? Would you let him or her operate on you
or your closest family member? Or anyone you know, for
that matter?

Then why on earth would you spend ages creating your product
and then just launch it to the world without testing the
sales copy?

The best way to test different versions of your sales copy
is to use an automated A/B split testing system.

Trying to test it manually would require far more time
and attention than you’d probably want to spend.

Instead, you can automate the process with something like
Split Test Monkey:

Using this type of system, you can easily test multiple
variations of your sales page by simply loading the
different variations into the system and sending traffic
to the page.

Keep in mind that you need to send quality, targeted
traffic to your page during the test, or the results could
be skewed. Don’t expect that traffic sent from random blogs
outside your niche would give you accurate results for your
sales page.

Yes, it could be expensive to send that initial traffic to
your sales page, but how much more expensive would it be to
damage your relationship with affiliates and partners because
your product converts abysmally?

If you don’t yet have a list, be sure you send all of your
test traffic to a squeeze page first so you can build that
list. That way you can use the list to test all your future
sales pages before release day.

Once you’ve figured out your best converting version, it’s
time to move on to the pre-launch stage, which we will talk
about in the next email.

Until then,
