Title: Knowing Your Customer

As a digital profit creator, your top priority
needs to be your customer base. These are the
people who will buy your products and return
to your website again and again.

So, how can you make sure you are giving them
exactly what they want?

This comes down to how well you know your customer
base, and how much time and effort you put into
analyzing buying habits and understanding what
matters most to your audience.

Knowing your customer base not only makes it easier
for you to create products that turn into bestsellers,
but it also helps you determine strategic pricing,
unique content offers that aren’t available anywhere
else, as well as being able to develop follow-up
products that are guaranteed to sell.

The key is to begin by optimizing your customer
experience so that you can quickly foster customer
loyalty and build a solid brand online.

To do this, you’ll want to evaluate the different
selling options so that you are building a storefront,
or sales system that is easy for your customer to
navigate through, minimizing lost sales or abandoned
carts.

Here are a few ways you can learn who your customers
are, and what they are most interested in buying:

Engaging On Site
Through the use of “live chat” agents, or chatbot
programs, you are able to give potential customers the
chance to connect with either a live person, or if you
want to minimize costs and not have to hire someone to
man the station, you could install a chatbot on your site.

A chatbot is an on-site script that is integrated with
your current website. Someone landing on your page can
type in a question, and receive an automated response that
was written by you and added into an on-site autoresponder
database.

You could combine both options so that you are available
to customers at some points in the day, and when you are
unavailable a chatbot takes over.

Check out Drift.com, a popular messenger program that makes
it easy for you to connect with on-site visitors and turn
them into customers.

Install Google Analytics
If you really want to get to know your customer and dig
into specific demographic information, consider adding
Google Analytics to your website and browsing the
“Acquitions” tab. You’ll be able to dig down into your
market and see where your buyers are coming from, along
as what social media sites, blogs and other websites are
responsible for driving traffic to your site.

These are just two easy ways to better understand your
customer base. Take some time to look at these options
and determine how you can incorporate them into your
website so you can gain better insight into your target
audience.

The better you know your market, the more money
you’ll make.

It’s as simple as that.
