Saving Power with ASUSTOR
Power bills across the world have increased sharply, your ASUSTOR NAS helps you keep data accessible and save money.
> Wake on LAN and Wake on WAN + S3 Sleep Mode
If set properly, your ASUSTOR NAS can automatically hibernate hard drives as well as the NAS using S3 sleep mode after being idle for a while. Wake on WAN allows you to conveniently power your NAS back on from outside the home and office while Wake on LAN provides the same functionality on a local network. Like a remote control, your NAS can be turned on and off and put to sleep to ensure data can be easily accessed at any time while reducing power consumption costs and saving energy.
> Set Power Schedules to Maximize Power Savings
The most efficient way to use your NAS is to turn off the NAS when not in use. Let the NAS rest when you sleep or away from the home/office. ADM's power scheduling features enable you to schedule shutdown, startup, and hibernation of your NAS making saving power easy and efficient.
> MyArchive backup files automatically
The all-new MyArchive brings backup schedules. If a schedule is set and an unmounted MyArchive drive is connected, ADM will mount the hard drive at a specified time to help make backing up data easy. After a backup is complete, the MyArchive drive is unmounted automatically. This helps make it safer and more convenient as well as also saving unnecessary power consumption when a hard drive is unmounted. For extra safety, the MyArchive drive can be removed and stored both onsite and offsite to complete 3-2-1 your backup solution.

Docker Engine

Multiple Vulnerabilities in runc, BuildKit, and Docker Engine have been fixed in the latest release of Docker Engine and related modules.

CVE-2024-21626 and CVE-2024-24557 affected ASUSTOR products with ADM 4.2 and ADM 4.0 which the Docker Engine is installed. Docker Engine v23.0.5.r1 has been updated on the App Central for ADM 4.2 and ADM 4.0 to resolve the issues.
