MyArchive has been upgraded in ADM 4.2 |

MyArchive is a fan favorite. The ability to disconnect hard drives while the NAS is on helps make archiving and maintaining safe 3-2-1 compliant backups with an air gap is an important feature. With ADM 4.2, MyArchive was upgraded to add new features.
Smarter:
MyArchive now can use scheduled backups and your NAS will automatically perform backups at a specified time when a MyArchive drive is connected.
Safer:
When an ASUSTOR NAS automatically backs up files, it will automatically mount a MyArchive drive, and automatically unmount the MyArchive hard disk after a backup is complete. After a MyArchive drive is unmounted, the drive may be removed and stored for lower risk.
More Efficient:
The automatic unmounting of the hard disk not only provides more comprehensive protection for personal data, but also saves unnecessary power consumption when a hard drive is unmounted or removed. |

The Samba Team has released security updates to address vulnerabilities in multiple versions of Samba.
CVE-2022-3437 allows remote authenticated users to bypass security constraint and conduct attacks via a susceptible version of ADM with SMB service enabled.
CVE-2022-3592 will not affect ASUSTOR products as this vulnerability only affect Samba 4.17 and later.
CVE-2022-42898 will not affect current ASUSTOR products with ADM 4.0 and 4.1 as this vulnerability only affect 32-bit systems.
• Samba package has been updated on ADM 4.2.0.RC81 to fix these potential vulnerabilities.
