Using an ASUSTOR NAS with four bays with two hard drives installed as an example. With the two free bays, the third and fourth hard drive bays can be used as backup bays as a double backup whammy for when backup archives need to be made frequently. An emergency update to ADM is provided in response to new Deadbolt ransomware affecting ASUSTOR devices. ASUSTOR urges all users to install the latest version of ADM as soon as possible to protect themselves and minimize the risk of a Deadbolt infection. ASUSTOR also recommends taking measures to guard against the potential harms of Deadbolt in accordance with the previously announced protective measures. |

AS10, AS50, AS51 and AS70 series of NAS will no longer be receiving feature updates due to the recent termination of vendor support for drivers. ADM 4.0 will be the last major version for these models. Only security updates and critical bug fixes will be provided. |
