Snapshot Center
Snapshot Center uses Btrfs on your installed volumes to create snapshots. Snapshots are a layer of protection that creates historical versions of data in your NAS to protect against unintentional modification of data, including ransomware and user error. Snapshot Center also supports snapshots for iSCSI LUNs. Use snapshots to protect data from unintentional or unauthorized modifications. Snapshots are not backups, but are a first line of defense against unintentional modification.

MyArchive
MyArchive turns your NAS into an archive factory. Make as many archives of data as you have hard drives. Create MyArchive drives as a secondary offline backup while remaining easy to access by connecting to your ASUSTOR NAS. MyArchive also supports Btrfs, which means snapshots can be made to add an additional layer of data protection. MyArchive is its own independent system, meaning that disconnected drives are not affected by ransomware or virus attacks. Similarly, MyArchive drives can count as an onsite backup as long as the original copy of files on the NAS is not deleted or you at least otherwise have another onsite copy. 

Cloud Backup Center 
Cloud Backup Center is ASUSTOR’s worst kept secret. After creating an onsite backup with MyArchive, your data still remains vulnerable to various risks, including fires, floods, hardware damage/failure and other natural disasters. Cloud Backup Center mitigates those risks by providing access to various cloud archival services that generally offer affordable prices compared to interactive file hosting services. If, in the unfortunate event that the first two backups fail. Restoring data with Cloud Backup Center is easy. Combining Cloud Backup Center with MyArchive and ASUSTOR NAS storage ensures you are protected against most practical risks of data loss.
