Supported Backup Products

The following section list the supported backup products:

Amanda Backup Server v3.3

The Check determines the status of the backup from Amanda's log files where it retrieves the job identifier along with the backup date and result.

The six potential results for the backup and their statuses are:

Result	Check
Successful	Pass
Complete with exceptions	Pass (depending on configuration*)
Canceled by the user	Pass (depending on configuration*)
Fail	Fail
Earlier job still in progress	Fail
Running out of space	Fail

* Where Show 'complete with exceptions' as successful (includes canceled jobs) is selected the check will report as passed where any of these events are found.

We feel that it is prudent to alert you to the any failure events recorded as the error may be an indication of a larger problem with the backup or infrastructure on the server. So although there may be a Backup recorded as successful we will alert to any failures recorded in the logs.
