Adsense Advice and tips number 61 - 80
There are a lot of pages on the internet that show you how to construct a website and a step by step guide to adding Google Adsense advert code to your website. I will not go over the same ground. On this and the following pages you will find advice and tips on running an Adsense funded website. They are a summary of the tweets I post on Twitter with Adsense tips. I will also cover some Search Engine Optimisation SEO techniques. I hope you find them useful and interesting. Adsense tip 61 - go to a book shop. What magazines topics are popular. This is what you should base your website on as there is an audience 

Adsense tip 62 - blue text links seem to perform best for Adsense ads because blue is the assumed color of links on the Internet???

Adsense tip 63 - Use ads without background color or borders. The will seamlessly integrate with your content and appear to be part of it

Adsense tip 64 - When using multiple ad units, the ad unit with the highest clíck-through rate must appear first within your HTML code

Adsense tip 65 - Google says the following ad formats result in the highest number of clíck-throughs: 336×280 300×250 & 160×600 Check yours

Adsense tip 66 - think about touch interface on mobile phone browsers. Use a Next Home & Back button rather than a text link? 

Adsense tip 67 - Concentrate on your content rather than ads. It is the content that will bring in traffic which is so important.  

Adsense tip 68 - Have a content strategy before you start website layout. Work out what text is going to be on what page and how many images

Adsense tip 69 - The content of a website is the reason why it exists. Get 70% of it finished before you do the site. Fit it around the content

Adsense tip 70 - Google employs staff to hunt spam websites and black lists them so they do not appear in search returns. Write interesting original sites  

Adsense tip 71 - Your link and image alt tags must be readable to a human and make sense. Do not just keyword stuff. Your ranking will go down 

Adsense tip 72 - Title tag must tell user what your web page is about. Write for humans as well as the google search spider. Make it readable  

Adsense tip 73 - Title tag is important. If you get 1st page on Google but a human cannot read what your site is about they will not click

Adsense tip 74 - Rugby season is here. Most rugby fans have disposable income. Create a rugby fan site on one aspect of rugby to attract ads

Adsense tip 75 - use Social media to drive traffic but do it properly. DO NOT try to sell anything. Become an expert. Offer advice and news + link  

Adsense tip 76 - More people use their touch interface mobile phone to view web pages. Consider using thumbnail photos as navigation buttons  

Adsense tip 77 - never encourage users to click your ads. Google will close your account

Adsense tip 78 - Like cooking? Do a barbecue recipe website. This will attract barbecue cooker company ads
