Sweet potato fries are a delicious way to eat your vegetables on Paleo, and make a great side to many different meat dishes. You can’t get more classic than salt and pepper when it comes to French fries, and these sweet potato fries bring it back to basics. Getting sweet potato fries crispy is no easy task because you don’t want to make it so they’re dried out. Here’s a baked sweet potato fry recipe that uses just the right spice mixture to bring out the flavor of the sweet potato so you get maximum enjoyment. By adding a bit of cinnamon to the mix you’ve got quite a treat, and these sweet potatoes will be good for you, but also very yummy. This recipe is using a specific type of seasoning, Old Bay seasoning by McCormick, which consists of a blend of different spices that go really well with sweet potatoes. Surprisingly, the first thing I thought of when I first tried sweet potato chips was actually football.
The chips are simple to make, and don’t take as long in the oven as some other homemade chips – only 15-20 minutes. You simply toss the sliced sweet potatoes with melted coconut oil and any seasonings of your choice.
I was looking for a quick sweet potatoe chip recipe and found this I followed except I did not use rosemary (I do not like it) and did not use parchment paper just cooked them on a cookie sheet. So, I too thought I would try this very simple recipe tonight and met with one disappointment after the next. I have used the dehydrator to make sweet potato snacks for my dogs and they didn’t get crispy .

But because of their natural sweetness, when you put something like cinnamon on them there’s really nothing stopping you from using these to fix any sweet cravings you may be having.
Mustard, paprika, and celery salt are just some of the spices included, along with bay leaves, red pepper, cardamom, and ginger, so as you can see it packs a bit of a punch and uses items that on their own have a pretty powerful taste.

I’ll try this again with hand-cut, thinker slices and go for a lower temp for a longer time. An old sweet potato (may be has been at the store for a while) may burn far before a more hydrated sweet potato. Food shouldn’t weigh you down, and a meal should leave you feeling satisfied and ready to carry on with your day, rather than sluggish and comatose. For the last ten minutes, watch the chips closely and pull off any chips that start to brown, until all of the chips are cooked. Opening the oven I see charred sweet potato, brown parchment paper and seconds later my smoke detector goes off. They shrink big-time, but they are so crunchy Without the risk of burning best yet, you can just set it up, watch a movie and when 2 hours pass, you have yummy chips to eat!
