I first encountered Yulia Tarbath when she approached me to ask for a recipe contribution for her awesome raw vegan recipe ebook. There is definitely a lot of good vibes coming from Yulia and her husband Paul and they're living the dream life traveling around the world eating the most delicious tropical fruits, while they search for their ideal place to call home. Yulia and Paul have both been enjoying a raw vegan lifestyle for a few years, and it's always interesting to delve into what makes this way of life work for someone. I experimented with so many different diets, detox systems, colonics, cleanses, superfoods, herbs, tinctures, acupuncture, homeopathy – pretty much every single alternative approach - none of which resulted in the restoration of my health. For almost 2 years on my anti-Candida diet, I missed fruits so much that when I understood that I can eat them in abundance without worrying about Candida or blood sugar, I felt like I had hit the jackpot. I steamed some veggies to begin with in the evening from time to time, but most of my days were fully raw. Travelling to other places on this lifestyle can be a challenge, especially when you go to shops and all you see is green and unripe fruit. I eat approximately 1,200-1,300-calorie breakfast, which can include a large meal of mangoes, or papayas, or persimmons, or melons, or a meal of bananas (what I eat varies according to what’s in season, in the summer I eat more water-rich fruits). My dinner is about the same number of calories as my breakfast and I will eat another large fruit meal, followed by some greens, which I occasionally mix into a salad. Once a week I enjoy having mono days, when I stay on just one type of fruit for the whole day.
No, I don’t believe in this approach and yes, too much of a good thing can happen, when people literally force themselves to eat fruit until they feel sick. Indeed, in the beginning, there is an adjustment process to the amount of fruit that people need to eat to ensure that sufficient calories are consumed, but still it does not mean that they need to over-eat. Getting enough ripe fruit and the financial aspect of being high-fruit raw and eating organic.
I like that people begin to ask me about my diet and I get an opportunity to spread the message of health. The reasons are usually cost, loss of motivation, social challenges, and getting enough good quality, ripe fruit. In my opinion, yes, at least a high raw food diet is beneficial to every single human being on this planet. I believe that the challenges of a raw food diet can be managed with the support of other people who live this lifestyle successfully. Your website and newsletters have been a wealth of information to me since I started my raw journey a few years ago, thank you!
Raw Carrot Cake Balls Jun 03, 15 09:54 AMI was planning to make macaroons but the mix didn't make it as far as the dehydrator - it was just SO good that I rolled them into balls and these raw carrot cake balls were the result!
As the high-fruit diet becomes more popular and mainstream, skeptics wonder if it is a form of an eating disorder.
A high-fruit diet is one in which the bulk of daily calories comes from raw, whole sweet fruit. While it is possible to loose weight eating a high-fruit diet, it is also easy to maintain a healthy weight by being mindful of personal caloric needs. Some people think they would starve eating a high-fruit diet, however if you’ve ever seen a young women eat an entire watermelon for breakfast, you know that she does not go hungry!
True, extreme starving by intaking fewer than 1,200 calories per day or binging on excess food and then purging could be done on a high-fruit diet as with any other kind of food.

When it comes to food that is ready to eat in its natural form, beautiful to the eye, sweet to the tongue, and which supplies optimal fuel for the body, nothing beats fruit.
Perhaps the true eating disorder is the unexamined diet, blindly eating from the selections offered by grocery stores and restaurants. Rarely does an educated fruitarian suffer from obesity, cancer, diabetes type 2, heart disease, cravings, addictions, or starvation. I am 31, married to a beautiful being called Paul Tarbath, we are both high fruit raw vegans and we have no children. After the juice fasting, I implemented many dietary changes: I learnt about food combining, stopped frying, started steaming, and gradually discontinued consuming gluten, processed sugar and all other processed foods. At the time, I followed an anti-Candida diet that advised eating a lot of protein and minimising the consumption of fruit.
Last year we did quite a bit of moving around and bumped into situations when there was no ripe or good quality fruit for us to get hold of.
Within just 3 days of me following the high-fruit and low-fat raw vegan diet, my Candida overgrowth, which I tried to overcome for 2 years without success, balanced itself. We travel to various destinations and eat a great diversity of fresh produce - from fruits to greens and other vegetables. I knew that I wanted to remain on this diet, and just wanted to tweak it a bit to experience the desired results.
I was used to taking my own food with me everywhere I was going before I switched to a raw lifestyle, so on this diet it just meant that I would take raw food with me, which actually made it even easier. If you are a sweet person and into bananas and dates (like I am), before you eat your bananas, start from watery fruit (pears, nectarines, peaches, apricots, etc) and then still eat your bananas, just a bit less of them, and eat plenty of greens. An all raw diet offers rapid detox and health recovery opportunities, however I also believe that it is important to transition into it properly, for which a high-raw and low-fat vegan diet is ideal.
During this year, we will be working on launching more products that can help people switch to a high-fruit raw diet and healthy lifestyle, as well as how to stay on track.
It guides people to transition to a low-fat raw vegan diet and healthy living, which is an integral part of human evolution.
We offer one-on-one coaching, write free articles, have our own youtube channel, share recipes with others, feature various educational and raw food products and plan to do webinars and seminars in the future. To me the important points that stand out are that getting a variety of fruits as well as plenty of greens is important, and keeping the fat low (but not removing it entirely - it is important to get the extra minerals from a variety of fat sources too) along with a very active lifestyle, a little supplementation and lots of sunshine make this lifestyle work fabulously well for Yulia! As a recovered bulimic and advocate of the high-fruit lifestyle I will explain why this dietary approach gives little cause for alarm. Daily fruit intake is ideally followed by raw or steamed greens, vegetables, non-sweet fruit, and whole plant fat later in the day.
While it certainly does not conform to the status quo, eating a diet loaded with fruits is liberating. When fruit is no longer a side-dish or topping but rather the entire meal, there is bountiful fruit to enjoy in one sitting.
But because fruitarians limit their food choices in a world filled with thousands of packaged, processed, fast, junk, and complex cooked food choices, it doesn’t mean that they have eating disorders. For anyone wishing to increase their energy and mental clarity, gently cleanse on a regular basis, and simplify their life, the high-fruit lifestyle is one to explore. Perhaps a high-fruit diet is actually a step in the healthier direction to cure the ills of mass society.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Holistic Health & Healing, she enjoys helping others discover the benefits and liberation inherent in a whole food, plant-based diet. My diet was high in fats that came from oils, nuts and seeds, which I was (unwisely) advised to eat with every meal. This is the same person who struggled to get out of bed before switching to a high-fruit raw vegan diet due to severe fatigue!
Increase the percentage of raw food in your diet today, without waiting for a health crisis to happen. There will be more educational videos, recipes, articles, success stories and interviews with experts in the low-fat raw vegan movement that we will be sharing. Whole, raw fruit supplies ample fructose and glucose to sweetly and purely fuel human cells…something all humans need. It is amazing to experience the shift that happens when simple, delicious fruits become wildly complex in their subtle flavors, textures, and smells. Haphazardly approaching a high-fruit lifestyle without some basic understanding can lead to intense hunger, binging, rapid weight loss, or blood sugar imbalances, but an educated individual can have life-long success as a fruitarian.
If we were to shop in nature among the orchards and gardens, fruit would be our prized and preferred selections for their ready-to-eat state, caloric benefit, and pure clean fuel.
Mass marketed remedies include weight-loss diets that promote severe restrictions, purging with cleansing products or exercise, starvation, and generate obsessions with food. Fruitarians rarely eat in secrecy, shame, or guilt whereby defying the core nature of a true eating disorder. Then, I took a 9-day juice fast back in 2008 for health reasons, and as soon as I came out of it, I naturally began to get drawn to raw foods, so I started eating a ton of fresh salads.
I was under-eating on fruits and calories, and consumed a large amount of supplements and superfoods on a daily basis. I like the fact that this diet contributes not only to my health, but also to the health of the animals and planet Earth.
I got into running and active interval workouts, cut down on overt fats – not dramatically, just reduced them and ate slightly less bananas and more water-rich fruits.
Switch to a whole food, vegan diet, start having a large fruit and greens smoothie for breakfast, have another fruit and greens smoothie for lunch and increase the percentage of raw foods to around 80% of your total calories. Sedentary people can add about 300 calories, moderately active people about 600 calories, and high active people and training athletes can add significantly more. Most often they exhibit their diet publicly, are proud of their choices, joyful, sharing, and aim to inspire others to adopt this path of healthful, sweet, and juicy happiness. Paul also joined me, he studied all the information related to this diet and it made so much sense to him. And, to continue working towards our dream of living on a fruit farm and having an educational centre there.
The purest form of fuel is natural fruit sugar, fructose and glucose, which convert easily and quickly to glycogen to power human cells.
There are exotic fruits from all around the world to discover and plenty of frozen fruits to keep on hand.
