Let’s make sure you know the process for graphing quadratic inequalities. Can you correctly order the 5 steps of graphing quadratic inequalities?

Replace the inequality sign with an equal sign.

Graph the parabola.

Look at the inequality that was in the original problem. If it’s ≥ or ≤, use a solid line to draw the parabola. If it’s > or <, use a dotted line.

Shade above the parabola for > or ≥ and below the parabola for < or ≤.

Check your work by choosing any point inside the shaded region and substituting back into the original inequality. If your work is correct, you will get a true statement.
