Math Recess is inspired by Kathy Richardson's Self-Directed Exploration, Carol Dweck's Growth Mindset Theory, Jo Boaler's positivity, and a conversation with author and math enthusiast, Sunil Singh. When students are given opportunities to notice and ask questions, they inevitably explore and find their own answers. Play is how children learn.
