Using Literacy Strategies to Guide Students to an Understanding of Precalculus and Calculus Topics

Description

Literacy-based teaching strategies can serve as an alternative to more traditional approaches in the pre-calculus or calculus classroom. The presenter will share her efforts to include a variety of such approaches including the use of writing, literature, semantic feature analysis, and others. Specific examples will be shared.
