Using Discourse Strategies to Promote Student Voice, Agency, and Mathematical Thinking
Description
In this interactive session, participants will engage in ten discourse strategies (DS) used this past year with predominantly students of color. DS are intentional teacher moves which promote discourse-rich, equitable classrooms by giving students daily opportunities to communicate their mathematical thinking with an acute focus on enhancing agency.
